My husband and myself have had several occasions to be taken care of by this hospital, and we have nothing but praise for all the members of the Stoke Manderville team we have been looked after by !

Whereas I have only attended the Chemo Unit, I can't comment on the rest of this vast hospital. I have found that the staff in the Chemo and Haematology Unit are all top notch. Caring, competent and friendly and (apparently) unrushed. The nurses in Room 10 are terribly busy but they still have time to smile and pass the time of day. that helps a lot when you have cancer. I suppose we are a bit fragile, so a friendly smiling face puts one in the right frame of mind to confront this illness. The volunteers who fetches tea and sandwiches were an unexpected pleasure. I've tried hard but I am blowed if i can find a single thing to complain about. Not even the parking outside seems to be a problem.

I receive my treatment at the Cancer Care and Haematology Unit at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. The unit is very friendly and very professional. The ward where day treatment is given is a bit scary when you first attend, but the staff are great and explain everything that is going to happen, and you soon settle into being there for regular treatments. I have attended for 6 chemotherapy sessions, and will continue for shorter visits every 3 weeks for the next year for injections. The outpatient are is fine. I have waited over an hour to see my consultant, however when I get in to see him the care I receive is excellent and worth the wait. I would suggest that when there is a wait for the doctor it would be helpful if the reception staff could tell when you arrive that your consultant is running late and roughly how long that wait might be. Other than that I have nothing to suggest to make the CCU better than it is.

I have been a patient at Stoke Mandeville for nearly two years as a day patient in the Oncology unit and as an inpatient. I have received the highest standard of care throughout the hospital from everyone I have encountered and feel fortunate that this is my local hospital.

Stoke Mandeville Hospital is large but it's friendly. If you get lost, someone will soon ask if you need help.

I am so lucky to have Stoke Mandeville Hospital within my area. I was diagnosed with breast cancer and throughout my treatment the staff have shown great skill, passion, kindness and professionalism. I would recommend this hospital. Thank you

I've always received very good care from Stoke Mandeville and there is only one aspect that is sometimes challenging although it is one where there is no easy solution, and that is parking - sometimes it's difficult to find a space.

The Renal Clinic staff are always friendly and helpful and I don't usually have to wait too long to see someone. The main problem with the hospital in general is the parking situation. Chances are you'll have to walk some way to your appointment from outside the grounds (if you can find anywhere) as all the spaces in the hospital fill up early in the morning and stay that way throughout the day. Even the staff have problems finding a space.
